Compost Operator

**Job description**

**Opportunity Profile**:
We are searching for a Compost Team Member with direct experience, or an equivalent related experience in operating large equipment loaders, skid steer, man-lift equipment and all related attachments. The Compost Team Operator will be responsible for completing daily process operations safely and efficiently, and will report directly to the Compost Team Supervisor. Attend monthly H&S meetings, participate in all required training and collaborate in site inspections as required.

Starting salary (salary range) will be competitively adjusted to commensurate with experience and our benefits plan offered will be discussed further in a personal interview, this position is based in Guelph, ON.

**Qualifications**:

- Composting experience an advantage;
- Completion of high school, completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training;
- Speak, read, write English;
- Must demonstrate ability to function in a Microsoft Office environment;
- Proficient in oral communication;
- **Working/collaborating with others**, problem solving, decision making, job task planning/organizing, finding information, continuous learning;
- Assist in the maintenance of process equipment and facilities as required;
- Be compliant with a **zero-tolerance** drug and alcohol policy;
- Be available to work a minimum 44 hours per week;
- **Be punctual, be present and exhibit a professional attitude/appearance at all times;**:

- Lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs.).

**Must Have**:

- Valid Driver's license;
- Personal transportation (public transportation unavailable).

**Personal Protective Equipment**:
PPE and uniforms provided by the company.
