You must have your own transportation to and from yard location. Work is in the greater Edmonton area, with some occasional out of town work required.

Key Responsibilities
- **Driving and Transportation**:

- Safely operate a one-ton flat deck truck to transport trailers, equipment, and materials to and from work sites.
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport in compliance with traffic and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre
- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- **Heavy Lifting and Labour**:

- Load and unload heavy equipment, tools, and materials, often requiring lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including manual labour, to support site operations.
- **Site Layout and Support**:

- Assist in organizing and setting up job sites, including arranging equipment and materials according to site plans.
- Work closely with site supervisors and crew to ensure efficient and accurate site preparation.
- **Equipment and Vehicle Care**:

- Perform routine checks on the truck and equipment, including fluid levels, tire conditions, and securement systems.
- Report any equipment damage or vehicle issues to supervisors promptly.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations, including load securement standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Experience operating a one-ton flat deck truck or similar vehicle (preferred).
- Experience operating skid-steer
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and labour-intensive tasks in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of load securement techniques and safe transportation practices.
- Basic understanding of site layout and equipment handling (an asset).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 100 lbs
- Capable of standing, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions
- Full-time role with potential for overtime during busy periods.
- Work may involve early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project demands.
- Travel to various job sites within Alberta is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 65 per week
