**Warehouse/Retread Tire Repair Technician**

**Dugald Road Location, Winnipeg**

The Opportunity:
As one of Canada’s many family owned businesses, West End Tire opened its first location in 1956 at the corner of Rutland St. & Portage Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has been serving Manitoba and Western Canada by providing Name Brand new tires and Ringtread Recapped tires for all makes and models of commercial vehicles ever since. We have an term role opportunity for a Warehouse/Retread Tire Repair Technician in our Dugald Service Center. Join WET and be part of a growing company that is proudly serving Western Canada.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Technical:

- Shipping & Receiving - daily loading and unloading tires, removing from correct inventory locations;
- Repairing Tires (Commercial/OTR)
- Tagging - placing production identification tags on received tire casings prior to moving into production;
- Assisting with organization of all new tire inventory in the new warehouse;
- Assisting with organizing retread warehouse inventory as required;
- Assisting Service Department with organizing passenger and light truck inventory;
- Assisting in organizing and storing all casing inventory;
- Assisting in Inventory Counts;
- Providing back up and holiday support in Retread Manufacturing Facility on various stations as will be required from time to time (training provided);
- Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

- Good manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly;
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with potentially difficult customers
- A passion for delivering exceptional service in every interaction, both external and internal
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

- Specific knowledge of the products and services offered by West End Tire and how they can meet customers’ needs (can be learned on the job).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $14.00-$16.00 per hour
