**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver Labourer to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

**Responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to**:

- Transport finished hardware, tools, equipment to and from manufacturing plants and Field Projects
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Ensure loads are always secure
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations
- Operate Skid Steer or ability to learn
- Sort and inventory precast hardware
- Clean and maintain the truck and the yard at the end of each shift

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver Labourer
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment references
- Majority of work is outdoors both in winter and summer months
- Strength to perform average lifting up to 50lbs throughout the day
- Valid G Class driving licence with a clean abstract from the Province of Ontario

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North York, ON M9L 1X6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- construction: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
