**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Caressant Care is seeking a Clinical Analyst to drive the evaluation and sustainability of clinical documentation initiatives to enhance care quality and resident experience at Caressant Care. This role supports both Nursing and Retirement Homes by ensuring alignment with legislative standards and regulatory requirements, fostering compliance, and promoting best practices in care delivery across the organization.

**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS**:
**Lead MDS-RAI Program**
- Develop and implement systems to ensure timely assessments, resolve submission errors, and serve as primary liaison with CIHI

**Mentor RAI Coordinators**
- Mentor RAI Coordinators on effectively integrating MDS into clinical programs, deepening their understanding of RUG classifications, and emphasizing the financial implications of accurate coding

**Analyze Health Records**
- Perform comprehensive audits of the electronic health record system (PointClickCare) and conduct home visits as needed to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and uphold quality care standards

**Identify Deficiencies and Collaborate**
- Work with the Operations team to identify issues and create action plans for improvement

**Restorative Care Expertise**
- Participate in corporate clinical meetings with nursing managers to contribute to strategic planning for program development and improvement

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:
**Registration and Experience**:

- Three to five years in RAI-MDS within long-term care
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Certification in nursing rehabilitation/restorative care is an asset

**Knowledge**:

- Understanding of the “Fixing Long Term Care Act”, “Retirement Homes Regulatory Act”, and CNO standards

**Clinical and Industry**:

- Expert in clinical concepts, care processes, and clinical information systems; proficient in the PointClickCare platform, with the ability to lead strategies to address gaps

**Skills and Interpersonal Abilities**:

- Proven communication, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, utilized will all levels of the organization
