We are seeking a Load Research Analyst to join our Market Forecast & Load Research Department. Under the general direction of the Load Research Section Head, you will be the expert in operation of the time series meter data collection and management system. You will work closely with field technicians to troubleshoot data collection issues and with Load Research survey meters and complex billing staff to analyze and provide billing determinants required by the Department. **_ Responsibilities:_** - Direct and operate the Itron MV-90 system including the validation of data, maintaining meter records, data imports, data aggregation, and produce energy and demand reports as requested. - Liaise with Customer Billing staff to provide timely and accurate billing data that may include requesting special reads and estimating missing data. - Liaise with Key, Major, and Customer Energy Services Account reps on customer metering requirements including telemetry, estimated billing, and demand concessions. - Liaise with Manitoba Hydro Utility Services (MHUS) and Customer Service staff on meter downloads and data transfers. - Work with staff in Customer Metering & Customer Service to correct communication issues related to remote meter - interrogations. - Utilize Banner for service and meter information, enter probed meter notes, and request special reads. - Provide technical support and training for handheld portable meter reading devices for Customer service staff. - Provide user management support for Load Research system access. - Assist in planning and executing the augmentation of the Load Research survey meter sample. - Conduct research and analysis of industry processes and techniques relating to the functions of the department. **_ Qualifications:_** - A bachelor's degree majoring in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related field and two years of directly related work experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. OR - A two-year diploma in a related field and four years of directly related work experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a high attention to detail necessary to develop creative solutions. - Must possess excellent computer skills and a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Experience using key internal systems such as MV90, Metering Web App, Banner, and the Customer Information Database - (CIDB) would be a definite asset. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers. - Must be self-motivated and can work independently and complete work assignments accurately and on-schedule.
