Quality Assurance Coordinator

A quality culture, an intrinsic value of the organization. The Quality Assurance Coordinator develops, maintains and supports the quality management system. The person carries out all daily operations related to the quality system and its improvement.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Empower, promote and train people on quality and its benefits ;
- Responsible for the standard and maintenance of the ISO certification;
- Responsible for the development, implementation, proper functioning and improvement of the quality management system and tools;
- Responsible for quality document control;
- Responsible for drafting processes relating to operations;
- Responsible for the follow-up of non-conformance notices and customer complaints;
- Responsible for monitoring, supporting and measuring the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement plans;
- Responsible for internal quality audits;
- Responsible for continuous improvement and problem solving;
- Responsible for monitoring the calibration and control of measuring equipment;
- Support Plant Managers in achieving expected quality results (KPI).

**Deliverables**:

- Manages quality processes and takes charge of integrating it into their daily work.
- A QMS that is used by all.
- Continuously update documents and processes that reflect reality.
- An ISO certification maintained and in constant improvement for Gatineau and Rivière-Rouge, as well as the deployment of a quality program for the other plants under their responsibility
- A process approach that is valued
- Well documented references used and appreciated by users.
- Timely document control that meets the needs.

**Key competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards management.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the deployment and maintenance of a quality management system.
- Ability to communicate, document and outline processes for abstract operational concepts.
- Ability to document well (clearly and detailed) and in a timely manner.
- Creativity, adaptability and team spirit
- Rigorous, structured and autonomous
- Results oriented and customer oriented
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, quality assurance or other relevant training (management, quality and operations) or at least a technical or undergraduate degree related to quality assurance.

**Experience**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing company in a quality department.
- Experience with wood products or wood treatment (an asset).

**Languages**:

- Functional bilingualism both verbal and written

**Travelling**:

- Mobile to travel to other plants (25% of the time)
