**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Coordinator of Food Services in the Recreational Community Services Division, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Prepare and serve concession food and beverages at the City of Waterloo’s recreation facilities in a professional, efficient and healthy manner, including catering duties as assigned
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests, resolve customer concerns and complaints
- Daily cash handling and associated reporting; reconciling and balancing revenues
- Knowledge of and compliance with regulations and safe food handling procedures
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area
- Providing excellent customer service to the public
- Other related duties as assigned

**What you will bring**:

- Previous work experience with food and beverage preparation would be an asset
- Previous customer service experience would be considered an asset
- Safe food handling certification would be required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with other members of the Food Services team and City staff, as well as the general public
- Previous cash-handling skills and / or experience balancing revenues is preferred
- Effective Communication & interpersonal skills for communicating with the team & general public
- A passion for promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe workplace and the ability to work respectfully and effectively in a team environment
- Strong commitment to delivering quality customer service
- Demonstrated commitment to Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion

**Hours of work**:

- Up to 24 hours per week including evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Please note, hours of work may be outside of public transportation operation hours

**What we will require**:

- A Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check satisfactory to the City
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Proof of your current and valid certificate(s), licenses and/or educational qualification, if applicable
