**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items.
- Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the team during service by delivering food to designated areas and assisting with plating as needed.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
**Qualifications**
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food Handlers Certificate required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and banquet hall personnel.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
