We are excited to announce two new job openings for Refrigeration B Operator Trainees. This position requires the applicant to have a good mechanical and electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and practical communication skills.

- Mechanical/electrical work experience or relative post-secondary education
- HVAC experience or relative post-secondary education

**Training and Education**
- The applicant must be willing to work the day and afternoon shifts for training purposes.
- Company-sponsored Refrigeration Operator B certification training is included as part of the training.

**Shift**

Afternoon shift: 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm (hours may change). Overtime may be required, including weekend rotation.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordination of the building systems operation, including heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning
- Operating/monitoring of an industrial ammonia refrigeration system
- Comply with all standard operation procedures and regulated/legislated compliance standards for operating and maintaining an industrial ammonia refrigeration system.
- Working with outside contractors or vendors, including fire department and inspectors
- Perform daily facility inspections.
- Completion of daily refrigeration system readings and daily logbook records
- Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems as required.
- Complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards, such as GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS etc.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities. Maintain an updated record of PM.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance operations continuously.
- Actively promote health and safety in the workplace.
- Completes Maintenance reports and logs as required.
- Ensure all production equipment is serviced as required.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to lower utility costs.
- Enforce established safety, health, contamination and housekeeping policies and procedures to minimize staff injuries, lost production time, damage, and product contamination.
- Track building and equipment repairs.
- Ensure that the work area is always clean of debris and hazards and check the work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing the area each day.
- Work safely in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
