**Position**: Barback
**Reports to**:Bar Manager

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Working alongside the Bartender, the Barback ensures the Bartender has everything they need during service. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of bartending in a premium environment.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
(other duties may be assigned as required)
- Assists with opening and closing bar operations
- Restock and replenish bar inventory as needed
- Monitors and maintains overall appearance and proper sanitation of work area
- Washes glasses and service equipment
- Changes out kegs
- Assists with preparation of fruit garnishes, juices, syrups and purees
- Anticipates customers needs, providing direct assistance where possible
- Assists with back of house liquor inventory
- Support service staff where needed

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in barbacking or bussing preferred
- Mixology or Bartending certification is a strong asset
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Well organised and able to work at speed and deal with high volume
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast pace environment
- High energy self-starter with a can-do friendly attitude
- Ability to lift heavy weights and be on your feet for long periods of time
- A desire to learn
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
