York Hills is currently seeking to fill the following positions to join the team at our Aurora location.

**Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Care Worker-Permanent Part time**

Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator, these roles are integral parts of the Live-in Treatment Program. The Child and Youth Care Worker in this role will be working closely with Children, their families and/or guardians, a Child and Family Therapist, Child and Youth Care Workers, Psychologists, (and others identified as members of the treatment team), to maintain a therapeutic environment that addresses the social and emotional needs of Latency-aged Children _(7-12)_ in a home milieu setting. As a key member of this team, the Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Care Worker contributes to, and participates in the planning, implementation, and ongoing assessment of clinical treatment plans.

The Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Care Worker full time staff works a 40-hour work week on an 8week schedule rotation. This position includes working weekends and may include overnight shifts.

The Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Care Worker-permanent part time position is a 24-hour work week that is predominantly weekends and evening shifts.

This is an ideal opportunity for Child and Youth Care Workers to work with children in an intensive and dynamic milieu setting.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Knowledge of Clients’ Treatment plans and Safety Plans.
- Complete safety and tasks checklists that include meal planning and preparation, food ordering, laundry, and cleaning.
- Medication administration, Daily Reporting, Reporting Serious Occurrences.
- Regular communication with team by participating in shift changes, Program Team Meetings, Clinical Treatment Reviews, Clinical Team Meetings.
- Participate in Individual and group supervision with Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager.
- Co-development, implementation and tracking of treatment interventions. This includes reporting outcomes of interventions.

**Position Qualifications**:

- Child and Youth Care Worker Diploma/Degree or Diploma/Degree in in a related field, with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Drivers’ License and use of a vehicle.
- Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Second language is an asset but not required.
- Demonstrate intentionality and action in their anti-racist practice.
- Demonstrate an understanding, value and practice of inclusivity with diverse people.
- Demonstrate initiative, integrity & honesty.
- Commit to upholding the organization’s mission, values and standards.
- Possess the skill to be an active and collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Have experience in utilizing a variety of interventions, skilled in milieu counselling, assessment and group work.
- Be a confident decision maker and demonstrate a commitment to being client-centred.
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision-making in intensive milieu environments.
- Demonstrate observation and assessment, and co-regulation skills.
- Work well within small staff teams in achieving harmonious daily living for clients that lead to wellness.
- Actively participate in a learning environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, observation and assessment skills.
- Have knowledge of Trauma-informed practice, child development, and CYC Relational practice
- Demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of shifts that will include weekends, and may include overnight shifts.
