At the P1 level, initial "on-the-job" training and orientation begins at this level as well as initial work experience. At this stage, the incumbent is developing planning and scheduling skills and a general understanding of project Scope principles. After demonstrating a level of understanding and ability to work in this environment, the incumbent will graduate to the P2 level. At the P2 level, the incumbent requires less oversight by the other members in the team and applies sound planning principles in their work. **How will you contribute to the team?** - Create Proposal Preparation Schedule (Technical Portion of the proposal) - With Support from higher level planner. - Create Proposal Preparation Schedule (Commercial Portion of the proposal) - With Support from higher level planner. - Create Proposal Schedule (Implementation) - With Support from higher level planner. - Load Resource /Budget to Proposal Schedule (Implementation) - With Support from higher level planner. - Prepare project schedule - With Support from higher level planner. - Load Resource/Budget Schedule - With Support from higher level planner. - Set up Baseline Schedule - With Support from higher level planner. - Update Schedule - With Support from higher level planner. - Extract Primavera data files and send to the cost controller - With Support from higher level planner. - Issue schedule for internal use - With Support from higher level planner. - Issue schedule for External use - With Support from higher level planner. - Monitor and control the progress of the work against the Schedule - With Support from higher level planner. - Prepare and update Resource requirements reports - With Support from higher level planner. - Report critical schedule issues - With Support from higher level planner. - Inform the Project controls team Senior/lead/Manager whether a proper progress measurement is in place for all project activities through the whole project cycle. - Provide regular reports on project schedule status and deviations from plan. This must be performed on a timely basis. - Support the Coordination by the project cost Control Senior/Leads/Managers of the change management process on the project. - Interface with other Project Controls and Cost Controllers to maintain integrated cost-schedule in project control system. - Interface with technical team on the deliverables’ progress to update estimate-to-complete. - Special assignments, ad hoc reports as required. - Analyze schedule logic to ensure that there is no open-ended activities. **What will you contribute?** - Must have a relevant post-secondary diploma or equivalent. - 0-2 years of relevant cost control experience, experience in engineering and construction projects environment would be considered as asset. - Knowledge of MS office suite is essential, especially in Microsoft Excel. - Learning Knowledge of Primavera P6. - Ability to learn new software as per the company standards. - Basic Knowledge of project management techniques (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in project Planning and reporting. - Good organizational skills are required with attention to details. - Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines. - Working knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures. - Report writing, communication and presentation skills. - Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach. - Good analytical skills. - Ability to work with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team. - Various work locations in both the field and office. **What we offer at SNC-Lavalin**: At SNC-Lavalin, you will enjoy competitive compensation, a safe and healthy work environment, and a full range of benefits (ie.: group insurance, retirement savings plan, share purchase plan, continuing education program, etc.). - ****_ - The masculine gender is used only to simplify the wording._ Appropriate accommodations will be provided upon request throughout the recruitment and hiring process as required by Company policy and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
