Inspection Technician Calibration

**SUMMARY**:
In this position you will be reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Quality Assurance. As the Sr. Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
Work Shift: Day Shift; 4 x 10 (Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm)

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead all calibration activities on site by monitoring and performing calibration of gages such as micrometers, verniers, thread gages, torque wrenches, height gages
- Prepare, manage and coordinate reports with different functions pertaining gages that are due for calibration
- Manage the coordination of off-load activities with vendors and ensure gages are in compliance with the applicable standards and procedures
- Review and approve calibration certification issued by vendors and ensure these are adequately filed for record keeping and auditing purposes
- Support audit activities pertaining to calibration
- Manage nonconformance review reports to closure
- Initiate and coordinate all activities pertaining to on-site vistors for calibration services
- Use SAP to Create Shopping Cart - for calibration vendors, measuring instruments,
- Capability to perform minor repairs on critical gages,

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Accredited diploma from college or a technical background
- Knowledge and Strong understanding of GD&T
- Five or more years of calibration experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills
- Strong ability to work with others and at times supervise work
- Person willing to grow in the role
