**Job Summary**:
As a Settlement Support Worker working in our Immigration and Settlement Services team, you will work closely within a team to support a smooth transition into Canada for our newcomers. In consultation and with guidance from the Settlement Counsellors, you will provide interpretation services to clients in their own language. You will interpret for them in orientation sessions and at various appointments. You will also teach life skills and provide hands-on learning with the aim of assisting newcomers to master the skills necessary to live successfully in Canada.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- In addition to English, you are required to be fluent in the Arabic language
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience working with newcomers and providing interpretation and translation services
- A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license - requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
- Clear and Current Drivers Abstract
- Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
- Vulnerable Sector Check from local RCMP or City Police
- Child Intervention Record Check
