**Job Title: Mine Surveyor**
**Location**:Fort McMurray, AB

**Job Type**:Full-Time, Permanent
**Schedule**:14 days on / 7 days off | 12-hour shifts

**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Surveying Duties**
- Execute accurate survey work using GPS and Total Station equipment (Trimble)
- Supervise and mentor survey crew members
- Maintain precise and complete survey documentation, including field notes
- Provide technical support to survey operations
- Communicate clearly with field teams and Project Managers to ensure project accuracy and timelines
- Maintain and secure field equipment and vehicles
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives

**Safety & Compliance**
- Participate actively in corporate and client HSE programs
- Lead by example in safe work practices
- Conduct safety audits and complete safety paperwork as required
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility on all job sites

**Qualifications & Experience**
- **2-5 years**of experience in construction or mine surveying
- Geomatics Technician diploma or equivalent (asset)
- Valid **Class 5 Driver’s License**with a clean 5-year abstract
- Proficiency with **Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment**
- **CSTS, OSSA/BSO, First Aid, H2S Alive**certifications (required)
- Underground/Line Locating Certification and/or Advanced UAV Pilot Certification (asset)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead a team and take direction

**Work Environment & Logistics**
- **Rotation**:14 days on / 7 days off
- **Travel**:No flights or camp provided
- **Accommodations**:Crew house or LOA available**
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Physically demanding role with extended periods on foot or operating equipment
- Remote site travel may be required
