**Job Position Title: Interim - Antigonish Farmer’s Market Manager Sept. 2025**

We are hiring a Interim Market Manager for the Antigonish Farmers’ Market (AFM)

The Market is open year-round, Saturdays and sometimes Wednesdays. It is a vibrant space with up to 50+ vendors each week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage general coordination of the Market, including vendor space management and customer engagement;
- Ensure vendor compliance with Market rules and regulations as per AFM by-laws and Food Safety Guidelines for Public Markets;
- Resolve disputes and work to anticipate areas of potential concern during Markets;
- Maintain/develop a strong online Market presence using existing online platforms, writing press releases, and organizing media events;
- Enter weekly financial data into Quick-books Online and Square debit system, and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports;
- Report monthly to the AFM board, contribute to board decision-making, and implement board directives in a timely manner.
- Manage the Market Kitchen, bookings and Billing.

**Qualifications**:

- You must have one - two years of experience with Quick-books online.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, creative individual;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Proven conflict resolution skills;
- Proficient in publicity management through social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Project management and bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with Square POS preferred.
- Business or accounting degree preferred.
- 2 years of management experience.
- Completion of the Nova Scotia Food Safety Course and a First Aid Course is desired;
- Bondable.

**Terms of Employment**:

- Starting date: ASAP


**Wage**:

- $21.50 per hour
- 30 hour work week.
