**Job Summary**
The Philanthropy & Sponsorship Associate is responsible for driving mid-level philanthropic giving and securing sponsorships that support the Foundation’s fundraising priorities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this externally facing role cultivates and stewards relationships with individuals, businesses, and community partners capable of giving or sponsoring at the $1,000 to $100,000 level.
This role is central to advancing the Equip the Vic Campaign and other Foundation initiatives. It works in close coordination with the Manager, Donor Engagement & Communications and the Director, Marketing & Communications to ensure donors and sponsors receive timely outreach, fulfillment, and recognition.
**Key Responsibilities**
Campaign Giving ($1,000 - $100,000)
- Manage a portfolio of mid
- to major-level individual and corporate prospects
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors capable of $1,000-$100,000 gifts to the Equip the Vic Campaign and other Foundation priorities
- Prepare tailored proposals, impact reports, and donor communications in collaboration with the Director, Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate with the Manager, Donor Engagement to ensure accurate segmentation and stewardship touchpoints
- Collaborate with the CEO and Philanthropy Advisors to transition prospects at the $100,000+ level
Sponsorship Development
- Lead sponsorship acquisition for Foundation-led events including: Give A Little Life Day Radiothon, The Med Gala, The Lynx Golf Tournament
- Prepare and present sponsorship proposals and benefit packages
- Fulfill sponsorship recognition in partnership with the Manager and Marketing team
- Track and steward sponsor relationships to encourage renewal and multi-year partnerships
Donor & Sponsor Engagement
- Ensure sponsor and mid-level donor lists are updated in the Foundation’s CRM
- Participate in donor recognition activities and event-related hosting
- Work collaboratively with the Foundation team to support donor and sponsor experiences across events and communications
Collaboration & Administration
- Participate in weekly donor strategy meetings and portfolio reviews
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and contribute to campaign reporting and metrics
- Coordinate with contractors or volunteers as needed to support donor engagement
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, corporate relations, or business development.
- Proven success securing sponsorships and/or mid-level gifts.
- Strong relationship management skills and professional presence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with donor CRM systems and reporting tools (preferred).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and driven to meet revenue goals
- Knowledge of healthcare or community-based philanthropy is an asset
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of donor and sponsor cultivation meetings completed annually
- Number of formal asks made annually (gifts and sponsorships)
- Total revenue raised through sponsorships and mid-level campaign gifts
- Number of new sponsors and donors secured annually
- Sponsor and donor retention rates year-over-year
- Timely fulfillment of sponsorship and recognition commitments
- Growth in the size and quality of the corporate and mid-level donor pipeline

**Salary Range**: $50,000 - $85,000
- The Boreal Healthcare Foundation uses a three-tier salary band structure to support transparency and growth. Placement within the band will be based on experience and qualifications._
- Developmental: $50,000 - $59,999
- Fully Competent: $60,000 - $69,999
- High Performance: $70,000 - $85,000
