Sherwood Park, Canada Can Traffic Services Ltd. Full time

As a Yard Labourer with Can-Traffic you will assist with the efficient movement of goods and merchandise in and out of the facility including inventory control and yard layout/management. Work closely with the Yard Coordinator, Operations and Maintenance to plan, schedule and manage inbound shipments and outbound orders for all movement of items in and out of the yard. Labourers work Monday to Friday 8-4:30 opportunities for overtime. The majority of the of the work is completed during the day in and around the Edmonton region with periodic out of town and night shift assignments. **What you will do everyday**
- Complete a variety of tasks as assigned on a day-to-day basis
- Perform manual tasks in all operations including use of hand power tools and equipment
- Safe operation small equipment such as, skid steer and telehandler.
- Perform daily housekeeping, preventative maintenance and mechanical checks.
- Maintain and clean equipment when finished using it.
- Perform other activities as directed by the supervisor

- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ensure safety is a top priority and adheres to and follow all rules and regulations
- Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct
- Ability to perform strenuous work activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to frequently lift, push, shovel and slide objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions

**Qualifications Needed**
- High School Diploma with previous related experience
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
- Skid Steer experience is preferred
