**Job Overview**

We are looking to hire a dynamic and skilled Barista who will help create opportunities for spontaneous community connections in Carleton Place. The Barista will handcraft delicious beverages, serve artisanal provisions, and build relationships with our customers and the rest of the Foundry Coffee Bar team.

**Things you do**:

- Go the extra mile to make a customer consistent quality beverages and service
- Maintain a clean environment including bar areas, café lobby and patios to contribute to a healthy environment for customers and employees
- Have a passion for our coffee and share knowledge with customers
- Uphold high levels of professionalism and are a team player
- Assist in the development and training of new employees
- Follow company processes and communicate effectively for a well-functioning and well-informed coffeehouse
- Attending and understanding all company training and staff meetings to advance education and stay up to date on coffee, tea, merchandise and seasonal menu changes
- Are an ambassador for Foundry Coffee Bar, our products, and the Carleton Place community at large

**Barista Requirements**:

- Previous customer service experience (barista experience preferred).
- Smart Serve Certification is preferred.
- Must follow health and safety regulations.
- Build ongoing connections with customers.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Desire to learn and grow in the coffee industry.
- Knowledgeable in equipment care and maintenance or eager to learn
- French is an asset.

**Compensation**
- Yearly raised based on evaluation and performance.

This position is based in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. No relocation assistance will be offered.

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
