**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with meal preparation and ensure they have nutritious food options available.
- Assist individuals with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with families and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.

**Qualifications**
- PSW Certificate/Diploma preferred
- Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred, particularly in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of dementia care and hospice care practices is a plus.
- A background in nursing or related fields is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of clients, including availability for varying shifts.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Grimsby, ON L3M 1V7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Personal Care: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
