The **Machine Operator** is directly accountable to the Production Supervisor on the floor and the Operations Manager.

Able to organize, control and prioritize areas of responsibility and carry out to completion on an agreed timetable and abide by all Vicwest health and safety rules.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Must be able to train on and learn trim press, Shear, and wrapper in the trim area.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
- Performs daily Press inspection checklist and reports all safety hazards to supervisor.
- Follow proper LOTO procedures.
- Operate a forklift to move material around.
- Other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
- Train new employees as required

**EDUCATION, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE**:

- Grade 12 diploma
- ISO quality of standard experience
- Lift-truck license
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
- Able to distinguish varying colors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $20.35 per hour
