Lumber Yard Foreman

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of yard personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Operate heavy equipment, including forklift & skid steer to facilitate loading and unloading of materials.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and the yard to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Train new employees on proper equipment operation and safety practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve workflow efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment.

**Skills**
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation including forklift & skid steer.
- Knowledgeable in warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.
- Experienced in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse distribution setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to effectively manage a team while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for order picking accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
