Business Development Associate

Overview:
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional customer service, we have a great opportunity for you. Business Development Associates do most of the preliminary legwork for potential deals. They analyze industry prospects by gathering information about growth, competitors, and market share possibilities. The business development associate will then build a mosaic to help upper-level managers make decisions on a deal.
- Please note this role is part-time and is a hybrid role, which requires work in our branch office and from a home office._
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Sourcing and engaging qualified accounting firms
- Research internal database and external sources
- Reviewing and pre-screening different businesses
- Conducting pre-screening calls
- Writing professional documents appropriate for an executive level audience
- Creating, editing, proofing and formatting various written documents
- Awareness of all activities in play in order to support as needed
- Inputting and updating information into CRM
- Presentation preparation
- Scheduling meetings, interviews and other logistic duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or related field
- Previous experience in an administrative, sales or customer service focused role
- Familiarity with a CRM would be considered an asset
