Manager, Billing Evolution

**Primary role purpose**:

- Managing the overall direction and evolution of billing capabilities within Inmarsat for both new products and services and enhancements to existing capabilities and processes for the benefit of our customers, the organization and our teams
- Engaging with senior stakeholders from Commercial and Product Management, Business Units, Group IT, Chief Technology Officer and Financial Operations to identify new projects, products and services and capabilities impacting billing
- Ensuring all new products and services are integrated into BORAP in a timely, efficient and complete manner using standard or “out of the box” functions to the largest extent possible
- Seek out new or enhancements to existing billing processes, capabilities or functionality and ensure they are introduced in a timely, efficient and complete manner and with a focus on appropriate internal controls
- Jointly govern with Group IT the deployment of development resources on new products and services versus enhancements to existing capabilities for the benefit of our customers and our teams to balance desired progress in both areas
- Making sure that manual work is not created for Billing Services through non-standard billing
- Working closely with the Operational Excellence team, identify and implement opportunities for elimination of customization or non-standard use of system
- Driving billing development and challenging other teams to focus on “value add” and commercial contribution in business cases requiring billing development
- Prepare and deliver presentations at an appropriate technical level for senior stakeholder up to Exec level as required
- Driving continuous improvement opportunities in both process and systems which enhance our Customer Billing Experience and Customer Centric goals

**Essential Knowledge and Skills**:

- Analytical and critical thinking, multi-tasking and relationship building skills
- Ability to make informed decisions, to delegate and prioritise work effectively for the team and to collaborate cross functionally
- Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects
- Ability to network across Inmarsat and engage with senior stakeholders from key teams
- Ability to synthesize complex technical requirements and challenges into understandable business language
- Projects and systems experience to translate CTO/ business requirements into systems development with Group IT
- Training or experience in continuous improvement and project management
- Knowledge of Project Management, Planning and Reporting Tools
