Packing Operator - Full
- time regular shifts

Location:  Etobicoke, 399 Evans Ave

Department:  Production

Employment Type:  Permanent Full Time

Reports to: Packing Team Lead

**OVERVIEW OF POSITION**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITES
- **Duties and responsibilities of a Packing operator**:

- Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP is required in the food industry.
- Able to follow the SOP for operation, assembly and disassembly of the equipment using some tools. Aware of LOTO / safety importance and procedure.
- Ensure documents is being completed properly and timely manner
- Communicate with other departments.
- Perform necessary pre-operational activities to ensure proper equipment setup and operation of multiple pieces equipment.
- Assist quality investigations.
- Able to work in a fast-paced high speed environment.
- Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and mínimal unplanned stops.
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at the high quality level with mínimal wasted time and material.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy all the time
- Must be a demonstrated leader interacts with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team to meet demand established by the schedule.
- Ready to take any other duties assigned by the Manager/ Supervisor (designate)
- General cleanup of work area at the end of the shift (as directed by the supervisor )

- Must be able to set up the line and start the line on time
- Strong communication and organizational skill
- Excellent problem solving skill
- Must be able to work well under pressure and with little supervision..
- Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance

**Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably meat company).
- Must have a valid forklift driving license.

**Physical**
- Able to lift up to 50 lb
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- May need to work in a cold environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
