Simcoe County Rovers
Women’s League 1 Ontario Head Coach. This is a 5-month part-time position.

The **Women’s Head Coach **is accountable for implementing club strategy along with current and long
- term objectives for the Women’s First Team. He/She will be responsible for recruitment, preparation,
and development of all Women’s First Team players. The Head Coach will work closely with the
Women’s Sporting Director to ensure implementation and execution of the Women’s 1st Team’s playing
philosophy and tactical approach.

**Job Duties**
- Execute the distinct strategies for the Women’s Program as outlined by the President &
Women’s Sporting Director
- Planning, organizing, and coaching the Women’s 1st team in League 1 Ontario
- Recruiting, directing, coordinating, and supervising the Women’s coaching staff
- Creating a safe, inclusive, fair, and fun environment for all players and staff
- Meeting annual recruiting and performance targets
- Establishing coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop athlete’s skills and
- teamwork- Conducting analyses of opposing teams and planning of match day tactics and game plan
- Conducting post-match analysis and implementing necessary adjustments to improve the
- team, based on the findings of the analysis- Planning and execution of the Women’s First Team training sessions
- Coordination of joint training sessions with Rovers L1O Women’s Reserve Teams
- Acting in a professional manner always
- Build relationships with professional clubs/coaches in North America and Europe to
- provide professional opportunities for players- Responsible for other duties as requested
- Keep the President and Sporting Director informed of significant issues affecting the
- development and delivery of programs and services- Operate in compliance with all employment, anti-discrimination and record-keeping laws

and requirements including provincial and local regulations

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Canada Soccer National B or enrolled
- High standard of proficiency in soccer, training, and instructional techniques
- Previous experience coaching (or playing) in High Performance environments preferred
- Proven track record of managing competitive teams while focusing on player development
- A strong desire to create a winning culture
- High level communication skills to be able to engage with all stake holders, management,

players, and community partners
