Currently hiring a Service Training Instructor to join our growing team. We are an industry-leading, premier material handling dealer in Canada.

**The Role**

Responsible for training service personnel for branch, dealers, and customers to repair and maintain lifting devices from various brands. Assist in facilitating both onboarding and model-specific training at our regional training site in Mississauga. Assist in train the trainer sessions for skill checkers. May assist local branch with implementation of operator training programs. Responsible for assisting in the development of service training materials. Travel off-site as needed to conduct training at other branches or customer locations. May maintain training materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for the training site.
- Facilitate and conduct service training in the classroom and shop environment for all Company products and other equipment serviced by branch personnel.
- Able to safely and properly perform all skills for which they are skill checking students. Assist in facilitating onboarding training and other training as well as “train the trainer” sessions for skill checkers at the regional training site.
- Evaluate each student through written, oral, and performance testing.
- Maintain training materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for correct and safe implementation of all training courses.
- Assist in testing and tailoring training programs supplied from the factory to meet the specific requirement of customers, dealers, and employees.
- Provide feedback about training programs to the General Manager.
- Confer with General Manager on new product developments, module updates, updates of equipment, and operator training programs.
- Generate training materials as assigned for specific training courses.
- Learn new service training material as it is published.
- May instruct operator training and operator train the trainer in the classroom and specific use environment for all Company products for branch and customer personnel.
- Maintain awareness of changes in OSHA regulations relating to operator training.
- Set up area for the training.
- Assist students with questions and problems.

**Physical Requirements**
- Able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level
- Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Able to occasionally reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip

**Education and Qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- 2-5 years of Material Handling industry experience with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and product knowledge
- Good writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Computer knowledge including MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Level one operator trainer preferred
