**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Purpose of the position**:

- Support Brenntag Colours and Plastics business growth strategy in Canada and the US
- Increase the market share in Plastics industry segments with needs for value-added products and services

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Achieves or exceeds planned sales and margin objectives;
- Develops market intelligence in the Plastics industry, identifies opportunities for growth through prospecting, qualifying and activating new accounts in Canada and the US;
- Builds effective customer relationships via various communication platforms
- Participates in the preparation and implementation of marketing plans to support business growth;
- Works with the assigned customer service representatives, analytical and technical resources (internal and external) to ensure a level of service that exceeds customers’ expectations;
- Utilizes the Brenntag Sales Process and maintains SalesForce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database in a timely manner, with specific emphasis on contact reports and opportunity pipeline;
- Actively participates in Commercial Excellence to ensure the territory is managed as profitably as possible, which includes but not limited to: price management, upselling to existing customers and expanding current customer portfolios, reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and other such activities as defined by the management;
- Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, quality and environmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies.

**YOUR PROFILE**:
**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related discipline preferred
- Previous business experience in a sales or customer service related role (1-3 years)
- Team player, with high work ethic, eager to contribute
- Effective time management, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
