The Regional Director, Nursing is a highly experienced professional nurse with an exemplary background in education and whose primary purpose is to promote excellence in health care and nursing education of the designated region by supporting management, faculties and students, and to build, support, and maintain positive relationships with regional health authorities and healthcare providers. The Regional Director, Nursing is responsible for maintaining the relevancy of the program’s curriculum, performing program evaluation, securing and managing affiliation agreements and clinical placements. This will be accomplished through frequent and open dialogue with campus management, coordinators and affiliation partners; continuous internal reviews of program and clinical placement deliverables; and clinical placement quality assurance processes using effective measures and procedures to identify, allocate and evaluate resources.

**Your Role in Action**:
Harnessing updated nursing knowledge and clinical best practices the Regional Director
- Nursing program is responsible for:

- Assuring quality and compliance of the nursing and health care programs through continuous monitoring of program content and delivery.
- Empowering nursing faculty in providing high quality nursing and health care instruction though training, coaching and role modeling
- Assuring students’ awareness of the different nursing Scope of Practice, Standard and Practice standards from BCCNM, BC Care Registry, and other Canadian regulatory bodies.

**Your Expertise**:
To be successful in the Regional Director
- Nursing program, you must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following:

- **
- ** Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in nursing education and practice, with familiarity in BC Provincial Curriculum and adult education principles.
- ** Skills & Expertise**: Proficiency in curriculum development, program coordination, evaluation, and project management. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Management System is a plus.
- ** Research & Communication**: Strong research skills, ability to analyze data and generate reports, proposals, and recommendations. Excellent oral and written communication in English.
- ** Professional & Technical Competence**:First Aid-CPR certification, sound professional judgment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with scientific databases like CINHAL is beneficial.
- ** Interpersonal & Organizational Skills**: Superior organizational skills, multitasking, problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and a professional attitude. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- ** Other Requirements**: Ability to travel between practicum locations with access to suitable transportation and undergo a Criminal Record Check.

Advanced Degree**: A Master’s degree in nursing or a related field is preferred, demonstrating a higher level of expertise and leadership potential.
- ** Project Management Experience**: Proven experience in leading nursing-related projects, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive program improvements.
- ** Familiarity with Continuous Improvement Systems**: Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Management Systems (CIMS) is an asset, helping to enhance program quality and operational efficiency.
