**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Quality Coordinator supports the compliance of JCA’s quality system by ensuring quality policies, standards, and procedures are accurate and enforced, while driving and facilitating continuous improvement. This includes being generally aware of production schedules and material requirements, and any corresponding history that could negatively impact those schedules. A sense of urgency must be applied in responding to all concerns, questions, and disruptions.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Maintain communication with team members and all departments, so everyone is generally aware of issues, concerns, deficiencies, and conflicts.
- Work with purchasing, engineering, and material handling teams to maintain the supply of quality products to production.
- Communicate with all JCA departments and personnel as required.
- Work directly with suppliers to analyze and resolve quality issues. Lead the contact with suppliers for issues, while holding them accountable to address open concerns.
- Monitor and respond to customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor open quality issues and be ready to speak to any items that the quality team can address.
- Work directly with customers to process RMA returns, understand the non-conformances with our products, and ensure we have addressed the customers needs and concerns related to the issue they have reported. As part of this analysis the quality coordinator will determine if parts are covered under warranty.
- Process credits for customers and vendors based on the findings with quality defects.
- Read and understand the JCA quality documentation, procedures, and production documents to ensure documentation is accurate.
- Update quality documentation as needed to ensure it matches JCA’s processes.
- Perform internal ISO quality audits and produce the corresponding reports.
- Follow up on the findings to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Provide support to all departments to ensure known or suspect concerns are reviewed and addressed before outputs are negatively affected.
- Provide support to all departments as required when any internal/external concerns or disruptions arise.
- Enforce, monitor, and control all quarantine and reject-material processing activities.
- Follow up on the corrective actions which may include communication to other departments.
- Ensure production is using the most current released documentation at any given time.
- Host weekly Quality meetings with a cross-functional team.
- Review the case database, driving each quality issues to resolution and closure.
- Analyzing and reporting of JCA-product, supplier, and RMA quality metrics.
- Support the Engineering change system as required.
- Support service and warranty processing (the RMA process), including accurate recording of part numbers, quantities, revisions, serial numbers.
- Support supply chain and manufacturing technology to perform part substitution analysis when required.
- Review production inspection and test methods, while helping to drive the corresponding continuous improvement.
- Component level debug and repair of non-conforming electronic assembly boards.
- Perform incoming inspection of parts ensuring only conformant materials are stored in warehouse.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
EDUCATION:

- Post-Secondary education in a technical field.
- Some education or training in quality is an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably electromechanical.

SOFTWARE / TECHNOLOGY:

- Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to include and detail items with photographic/video evidence.

SKILLS:

- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain highly technical details to non-technical people while still achieving required results.
- Ability to work from sketches and other conceptual documentation, well-ahead of it being converted to production-ready material.

ADDITIONAL:

- General knowledge of ISO9001.
- Strong knowledge of root-cause analysis methods and reporting strategies (8D, A3, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and experience in the use of various measurement tools and gauges.
