GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Assembler.
Our Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for building acoustic components and subassemblies using established assembly documentation and processes. The Assembler is responsible for understanding the product design and assembly instructions, part preparation. sealing and assembling components to standardized plans, inspection of finished work for quality control, development of documentation, and engaging in continuous improvement.
The Assembler position requires a passion for building using mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, ability to use hand and power tools with dexterity and hand-eye coordination, working to timelines. The Assembler works in a skilled collaborative team environment with Manufacturing and Engineering representatives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret detailed documentation such as drawings, assembly procedures, routing cards, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Working as part of a skilled team by assemble components and assemblies by hand, keeping to rigorous manufacturing tolerances.
- Work from detailed manufacturing procedures and product documentation.
- Use a variety of skilled assembly techniques including bonded assembly, encapsulation, and use of hand tools to fasten, attach and secure parts
- Prepare materials for assembly using solvent cleaning and abrasive surface preparation.
- Use various chemicals, adhesives, and compounds to encapsulate and bond parts.
- Record actions taken by completing production and quality forms in accordance with ISO9001 requirements.
- Identify products or parts that do not meet quality standards and follow quarantine procedures as required.
- Utilize a variety of test, measurement equipment in the verification of product specifications
- Affix labels, company logos and exterior details to products and packages completed products for shipment Maintain a clean, hazard free work-station by cleaning and maintain equipment, tidying production floor and complying with health and safety procedures, rules and regulations.
- **Qualifications**
- High school diploma/GED equivalent, and/or relevant workplace experience.
- Experience working in a detailed, hands-on assembly environment.
- Soldering experience with good dexterity and the ability to solder to IPC-A_610 and IPC-620 class 3 standards considered an asset.
- Proficient computer literacy.
- Strong reading comprehension, writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with (or willingness to learn) engineering documentation.
- Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification (or ability to successfully obtain).
