Right now we are looking for a **Medical & Academic Affairs Specialist**
**Reporting Relationship**:Manager, Medical Affairs
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate medical learners registration, scheduling, and orientation/onboarding, including coordinating placements with supervising physicians and medical schools at affiliate universities
- Provide administrative, data management, and reporting support for medical learners, and act as a central point of contact for Medical Education (i.e., medical learner requests and university liaison)
- Facilitate the exchange of information and resources to assist with planning electives, including attending meetings as required to support medical learner placements
- Coordinate communication with supervising medical staff (including educational leads and preceptors), medical schools at affiliate universities and medical learners
- Coordination and administrative support related to medical observerships
- Review, investigate and respond to concerns from educational institutions and learners and escalation, as required
- Quarterly review, tracking, correcting, and submission of MTD and serve as main contact for MTD queries
- Coordination with Finance and Accounts Payable to support the tracking, calculation and processing of stipends and/or other funding for physicians
- Assistance with credentialing, as required
**Qualifications**:
- General Administration Diploma required, Health Administration preferred
- Undergraduate Degree in Nursing, Policy, Arts, Education, Public Administration or Health
- 5 years of administrative support experience for a senior manager
- Medical Education experience, preferred
- CMaRS, Petal MD, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
- MS Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), Microsoft Teams, Zoom
- Scheduling, customer service, interpersonal, privacy, organizational skills, problem solving to resolve data errors, tact and diplomacy skills
