**Classification and Salary**:
**Maintenance Service Worker 1 (MSW1)** - Park Maintenance Worker:
Based on 40 hours per week: $20.14 - $24.22 per hour
**Maintenance Service Worker 3 (MSW3)** - Park Maintenance Crew Lead:
Based on 40 hours per week: $24.68 - $30.16 per hour
In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
- 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays.
- 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.
In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:
- $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays.
- $2.75 per hour for evenings.

**Role Responsibilities**:
- If you enjoy working outside and are committed to improving a visitor’s experience when they visit a provincial park by maintaining facilities and campgrounds, come join our Maintenance Team at one of the Provincial Parks and Recreation Areas within the Rocky Mountain House District below:
- Crimson Lake Provincial Park / Twin Lakes Provincial Recreation Area
- Ram Falls Provincial Park
We are looking for highly motivated, well-organized, responsible Maintenance Workers for the 2025 summer season. Individuals will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance, janitorial and operational duties that support the day-to-day operation of campgrounds, day use areas, facilities, and trail systems.
**We are currently looking to hire**:
- 2 Park Maintenance Crew Leads (MSW3).
- 9 Park Maintenance Worker 1 (MSW1).
**As a Park Maintenance Service Worker (MSW1), duties and responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Performing landscaping, building cleaning and site servicing of campgrounds, day use areas and facilities.
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment.
- Conducting water testing for small water systems.
- Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, ATVs, skid steers, etc.
- Assisting with trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance
- Installing and maintaining signage.
- Reporting all maintenance concerns accordingly.
- Assists with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs.
- Being familiar with and practicing all pertinent occupational health and safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols; and with the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols.
- Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses.
**Role Responsibilities Continued**:
**As the Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3), primary duties include assisting with and performing MSW1 duties in addition to some front-line administrative and supervisory tasks such as**:
- Onsite lead for a crew of MSW staff. Accountable for the direct site operations, and for leading the task of scheduling for other staff.
- Assist with formal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Assist with playground routine inspections and maintenance.
- Conducts trail maintenance projects.
- Maintains roads and parking lot areas.
- Installs and removes docks, maintains beaches.
- Operates heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, groomers, etc.
- Operates chainsaws, brushsaws and other higher risk equipment.
- Assists with water and wastewater system start-up/shut down and operating.
All positions will require you to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. You have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and will be paid for the number of hours worked. You must have good physical stamina to be able to perform manual duties outdoors and in any type of weather conditions.
