Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform bank account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Post invoices and journal entries related to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Process vendor invoices, including timely and accurate payments.
- Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Receive and record cash and cheques.
- Prepare monthly HST returns.
- Maintain and balance general ledger.
- Prepare trial balances and reconcile entries.
- Maintain historical records and ensure filing system remains current.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Actively pursuing accounting certification is preferred.
- Experience with bookkeeping databases is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aylmer, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
