**Job Overview**
As an Overhead Crane Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of overhead cranes and related equipment. You’ll leverage your mechanical expertise to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections, keeping our operations running smoothly. Your hands-on skills will be essential in diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

**What you’ll do**
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on overhead cranes and associated machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Perform repairs on various equipment including forklifts, excavators, and farm machinery, utilizing your fabrication skills as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
- Maintain accurate records of all service work performed and parts used during repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in overhead crane technology to enhance your skill set.

**Basic qualifications**
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in electrical systems with a background in HVAC or diesel engine repair preferred.
- Familiarity with air brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, alignment, suspension systems, and tire service techniques.

**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience working in a dealership environment or as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of daily tasks.
- Previous experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equipment is a plus.
- Skills in soldering and assembly are advantageous for this role.
