**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
McDougall Energy is looking for a detail orientated**and reliable professional to fill the position of **Dispatcher/Professional Delivery Driver** to join our team in **Little Current, Ontario**. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this is an integral member of the Operations team responsible for coordinating daily dispatch activities while also safely and efficiently completing assigned deliveries.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, organizing and dispatching all deliveries to maximize efficiencies and optimize equipment utilization
- Providing directions to drivers regarding routes and customer requirements
- Working with the Operations Supervisor troubleshoot repairs and truck maintenance and organizing fleet maintenance as per company policies and regulations
- Communicating and interfacing with customers regarding delivery requirements, changes to schedules and any other issues regarding their delivery
- Adhering to all company health and safety policies, standard operating procedures and established industry regulations
- Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and accurately complete related documentation
- Providing exceptional customer service and communication to customers, peers, dispatchers and supervisors
- Utilizing a handheld computer device to monitor the flow of fuel being input and disposed of from the truck and maintain inventory of bulk products on truck
- Assisting with providing support for vacation coverage for drivers
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions to meet our customers’ needs
- Performing other duties as required (e.g. organizing / cleaning; warehouse, yard, office etc.).
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with a valid **DZ license**:
- Dispatch and logistics experience along with geographical knowledge of Northern Ontario
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to work variety of shifts including on-call
- Knowledge of TSSA, WHMIS & TDG requirements considered an asset
- Working knowledge of the fuel and propane delivery industries’ practices and processes considered an asset
