Our Vancouver, Canada location is currently seeking a
**Pipeline TD**. This role is for an immediate, full time position. The Pipeline TD reports to the Pipeline Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Pipeline teams in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and New York in order to integrate tools and facilitate the flow of work between production departments
- Attend Pipeline meetings as required
- Complete tasks within the time frame given by Supervisors
- Create production software, pipeline-related tools and solutions for the different disciplines involved in the pipeline
- Assist in the development and deployment of pipeline tools
- Write and/or maintain Python or C++ plugins and extensions for 3rd party packages used in the pipeline
- Write the necessary end-user and developer documentation for developed tools
- Train and support artists to use the developed tools
- Write PYTHON/MEL scripts for various tools for the departments

**Qualifications**
- Analytical mind
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or VFX required
- Minimum 2 years VFX experience within, film/TV or gaming
- Strong Software Development Skills;
- Procedural and object-oriented programming expertise
- Ability to design and implement systems
- Production level understanding of modular, large-scale digital asset management and version control
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Production Technology/IT/IS methods, practices, and trends
- User interface design and standard UI toolkits
- Pipeline for at least one these discipline groups:

- Modeling, UV, Texturing, Surfacing (shaders/lookdev) OR_
- Surfacing, Shot Lighting, Sequence Lighting, Rendering OR_
- Shader, Rendering, Render farm, Queuing/Dispatcher OR_
- Lighting, Rendering, Compositing OR_
- Compositing, Editing, Finishing_
- Third Party pipeline integration and plugin development for:

- _ MAYA_
- _ HOUDINI_
- _ ZBRUSH (optional)_
- _ MARI (optional)_
- _ GUERILLA or KATANA (optional)_
- _ SHOTGUN/TANK (preferred)_
- _ NUKE/RV (preferred)_
- _ PYTHON Scripting (required)_
- _ PyQT or PySide (required)_
- _ Revision Control Systems: CVS, SVN, PERFORCE, GIT. (required)_
- _ Web development, PYTHON, AJAX, FLASK, HTML5 (preferred)_
- _ C/C + + (preferred)_
- _ MEL script (optional)_
