**Job Title**: Dock Clerk

**Department**: Dock

**Reports to**: Billing Supervisor

**Summary**

The Dock Clerk is responsible for carrying out all clerical activities related to the dockworkers and freight operations. This position will be working out of the guard shack.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Sort any incoming load documents for distribution
- Complete initial paperwork and inbound trip sheets
- Data entry of bills, specialty accounts, outbound billings
- Participate in H&S training initiatives as required
- Practice and promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures
- Other duties as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the dock

**Qualifications**

Must have completed high school and experience within an office environment. Strong communication skills (written and oral) with proven ability to demonstrate problem solving skills independently and in a professional manner. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and strong customer focus. Working knowledge with Gardewine or similar computer system would be an asset. Some knowledge of LTL freight operations would be an asset. Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum speed of 40-60 words per minute) with strong attention to detail. Able to work independently with limited supervision and as a team player, and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Experience using Microsoft Office software and data entry.

**Physical Requirements**

Some of the physical demands may include, but not be limited to: prolonged sitting and using a computer and telephone for entire shift etc. Personal protective equipment must be worn.

**_ THIS IS A DAY SHIFT POSITION, 7:00AM-3:30PM, MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS._
