Cleaner (Casual) Childcare Centre

**Hours & Compensation**:

- Location: Bridge Street Childcare Centre at 8 Bridge Street East, Kitchener and/or Duke Street Childcare Centre at 111 Duke Street, Kitchener
- Casual / Relief / On-Call
- Hours: Shifts scheduled based on needs of the program. Typically, Monday through Friday between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm
- Pay Rate: $20.841 per hour, with an additional 2% in lieu of benefits
- Start Date: asap

**Your Contributions & Impact**:

- Cleaning and disinfecting all assigned work locations including bathrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, stairwells and laundry room.
- Replenishing supplies as needed
- Vacuuming carpets and area rugs
- Sweeping, moping, washing, waxing, and polishing floors in all common areas, classrooms, offices and washrooms
- Picking up debris and emptying trash containers and recycling as needed.
- Removing garbage and recycling keeping work areas clean, dry and free from hazards
- Performing other related duties as reasonably assigned

**Skills, Qualifications, & Requirements**:

- Previous cleaning employment experience
- Conscientious and willing to take initiative
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Practice proper operation of equipment to assure safety and avoid damage to equipment
- Understand and exceed health and safety standards
- Previous WHMIS training (preferred)

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Vulnerable Sector Record Check
- Up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C certification
