**EMPLOYMENT STATUS**: Permanent Full-Time

**REPORTING TO**: Manager/Deputy Chief of Operations & Performance

**UNION AFFILIATION**: Non-Union

**WAGE RANGE **(2024 Rates): $51.91/hr - $64.89/hr ($107,972.80-$134,971.20/annually)
- Salary range may be adjusted based on any approved cost of living adjustment & approved annual rates

This position is responsible for managing and making decisions to ensure effective day-to-day operation and coordination of a section of the Paramedic Service and is accountable for the organization and delivery of all field operational services relative to their operational section.

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS**:

- Post-secondary education in Paramedicine, health sciences, or related discipline. Possess and maintain all qualifications as a Primary Care Paramedic (or higher), as required under the Ambulance Act. A post-secondary diploma or degree in Public or Business Administration, Leadership, or Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a unionized environment. Leadership experience within health care or other public sector environments is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with business intelligence and quality improvement software is an asset.
- Ability to demonstrate the required competencies for this position in alignment with Oxford County’s competency framework.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver programs, services and outcomes.
- Clearly demonstrated skills to operationalize strategic concepts.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, acts, statutes and regulations related to municipal and program specific operations including the Ambulance Act, Coroner’s Act, Highway Traffic Act and Incident Management Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork, lead and empower teams and guide effective project management outcomes.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and a vehicle with insurance is required.
