**What You Will Do**:
- Work closely with the CI Manager and product design team in supporting production and fabrication with process mapping & process augmentation to identify opportunities for improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Implementation of improvement strategies to enhance manufacturability of products, improve process efficiency, reduce waste and streamline process operations.
- Initiate innovative solutions to automate and error-proofing the manufacturing processes.
- Liaison between the product design, and production teams in identifying and addressing process bottlenecks and recommending the best manufacturing solutions.
- Develop and construct virtual and physical assets to be used in production - ex: jigs & fixtures.
- Collaborate in researching materials and techniques used for improving product manufacturability and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and conduct work measurement (takt time), and other studies to identify areas requiring improvement in productivity and efficiency.
- Develop manufacturing procedures (SOPs), clear technical documents and manufacturing guidelines.
- Assist in developing conceptual ideas through draft sketches on paper, as well as detailed models utilizing CAD software packages as necessary.
- Creating and updating technical drawings and schematics with the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Modifying product and process-related consumables and documentation for manufacturability.
- Experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) and use of manufacturer-specific software as well as the ability to develop optimization strategies to support product design and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to enhance product designs and improve production efficiency in collaboration with product design and production team.
- Assist in the product design and production testing of new products and new product configurations, tools and equipment through practical methods.
- Assist and provide support in explaining technical concepts to non-technical personnel and internal stakeholders.
- Gather inputs from the production managers, production staff and internal stakeholders and integrate feedback into solutions.
- Provide guidance and training to team members as required.
- Prepare reports and data used for identifying areas of improvement in manufacturing.
- Assist the CI Manager in coordinating and managing tasks and activities related to CI projects to ensure timely completion.
- Follow-up progress and maintaining an updated CI log.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by your manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, process improvement or related roles is an asset.
- Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD design software packages such as SolidWorks (preferred), Fusion 360, Autodesk (AutoCAD), and PDM 2 for creating technical drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Matrix-oriented, with the ability to work on a wide breadth of teams, effective communication and collaboration abilities.

- Detail oriented and committed to quality and manufacturability of products.
- Knowledge of process mapping, 5S and Kaizen methodology.
- Project management experience is an asset in managing project timelines and goals.
- Functional knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
- Google Suite and MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
