**BRAKE PRESS HELPER**

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Brake Press Helper is responsible for operating our brake presses, including making equipment adjustments in order to manufacture quality products. S/he maintains equipment including preventative and repairs, while preparing daily production sheets and quality control documents.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Operates machine producing quality product meeting Company Specifications.
- Changes machine dies as required for production.
- Performs daily inspections and service machine as per Company service guidelines.
- Maintains machine in a clean condition and performs routine maintenance.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment as directed.
- Determines and corrects complex machine malfunctions.
- Assists with training other machine operators.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- One to two years related experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal forming or shaping
- Some experience of brake press operating and programming
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Experience operating forklift and overhead crane; certification an asset (will train if needed)
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Experience with plasma cutting and welding
- Mechanically inclined, to perform minor repairs or corrective actions
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively
- High attention to detail
