**We are currently recruiting for a** **Production Technician** for our facility in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.**:
**Location of Work**: On-site: 4004 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver. BC

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Production Technician position is responsible for performing duties related to the manufacturing and processing of highly regulated products within the Medical Isotopes production area.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- The Production Technician must have the ability to learn, understand and implement Medical Isotope process procedures as well as procedures pertaining to radiation and industrial safety.
- They must demonstrate the ability to perform the complete production process cycle which consists of material, equipment and facility preparation, product processing, order dispensing, product packaging, process documentation and execute emergency shutdown procedures.
- They also perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary Graduate (3 years) education or related experience in an appropriate science/ technical discipline is required.
- Minimum 1-year experience in radioisotope production.

**_Additional Requirements_**_ _
- _Works under general direction and guidance. Decisions are normally made based on interpretation of well-defined policies and precedent. _
- Physical requirements:

- Good manual dexterity and grip strength
- Push/pull hand carts with a force of up to 25kgs on and occasional basis
- Lift up to 5kgs on a frequent basis and 10kgs on an occasional basis
- Work with arms and hands on a frequent basis
- This position requires the successful completion of a vision screening and hearing test as a pre-employment condition.
- This position requires the successful completion of Health and Hygiene medical assessment as a pre-employment condition.
