**Job Description: Supervisor (Manufacturing Industry)**

**Position**: Supervisor/ Production Team Lead
**Location**: Brampton, ON
**Pay Rate**: $24 - $26 per hour (based on experience)
**Schedule**: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm (overtime available, some Saturdays as needed)

**Overview**:
The Supervisor/ Production Team Lead will oversee daily operations within the department, focusing on leading teams to optimize production processes. This role is hands-on, requiring collaboration with team members to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, plan, and organize daily departmental activities to meet production targets.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of health and safety within the team.
- Monitor daily manufacturing operations to achieve quality and cost objectives.
- Address safety concerns and participate in JHSC inspections to minimize incidents.
- Uphold company policies through coaching, mentoring, and enforcing discipline as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records within the inventory system and participate in monthly inventory counts.
- Support timely deliveries by managing work-in-progress (WIP) and tracking products through the finishing process.
- Enhance the inspection process by providing hands-on training to operators.
- Regularly inspect processes to ensure compliance with standards and assess operator performance.
- Manage the inventory of consumable parts for the department.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to address defects and implement corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain digital reporting processes for off-spec products in conjunction with the Production Manager.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment to foster productivity and safety.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and improve equipment.
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on improving quality, productivity, and safety.
- Proven problem-solving skills in both operational and personnel-related issues.
- Ethical leader who sets a positive example and holds team members accountable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective planning and coordination.
- Sense of urgency in responding to emergencies and operational needs.
- Dependable and accountable for team performance and results.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing tools and processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of motivating and leading a diverse team.

**Work Environment**:

- Typical industrial manufacturing setting.
- Continuous production processes with a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere.
- Noisy environment requiring adherence to safety guidelines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
