Requisition ID: 167142 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Purpose** The Manager, ABM Operations and Projects, Currency Services leads a team responsible for the management and daily operations/servicing of the Bank’s ABM network in Canada. The team directly manages cash and 3rd party servicing of all outsourced ABMs. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for managing the ABM claims and settlement process with the Bank’s third-party service provider The incumbent contributes to the overall success of the Currency Services team by ensuring assigned projects, individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted in compliance with governing regulations, risk appetite and internal policies / procedures. **Accountabilities**: - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge - Manage day-to-day ABM forecasting operations under strict timelines to meet daily file transmission times between the bank and our cash supplier. This includes ownership and oversight of the Bank’s cash forecasting tools and related controls. - Ensure that ABM load forecasts are at a level that results in top-tier customer service, while managing costs and minimizing out-of-cash situations. This includes managing (daily) cash top-ups and emergency cash loads, as required. - Manage the ABM claims and settlement process with the Bank’s third-party service provider - Ensure that ABM related data is controlled, tracked and available to complete analysis, and provide recommendations to improve operations internally and with service providers. Where data suggests issues, concerns, or anomalies, escalate as required. - Contribute to ABM operations at a program level, driving improved policies, processes, risk mitigation and customer experience. This includes supporting the development and design of solutions aimed at reducing the cost to serve and/or improving the customer experience. - Support the ongoing operations of the Currency Services department by: building and maintaining an expert knowledge of industry trends and emerging products/services; developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders; providing support in the drafting of business cases, terms of reference and/or funding requests; supporting with ad-hoc requests to report on projects costs, budgets etc., and supporting other projects/initiatives as required. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, which ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Education / Experience**: - University or college degree in management, accounting, finance, or business administration or 5 - years related work experience. - Project management experience, 2+ years (preferred) - Advanced Microsoft Office proficiencies (particularly Excel) - Skilled in relationship building and influencing - 3-5 years of banking or cash operations experience - Knowledge / experience in the armoured car or cash processing operations industry is a strong - asset **Work Conditions**: - Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required to meet deadlines or critical operational requirements. Limited travel domestically is required.
