Swine Herdspersons

Thoel Farms is a progressive and growing business and is looking for an experienced motivated, self-dependent individual to add to their roster.

Starting pay is based on experience and will be adjusted (increased) upon completion of probationary period.

Swine husbandry (sows and piglets):

- Tasks include but are not limited to: Handling animals, monitoring animal health, processing litters, weaning, assisting with A.I. breeding, power washing (sow barn and nursery), following procedures of enhanced barn biosecurity, maintain and follow records, medicate animals and other general barn duties.

Equipment operation (small square hay): Will train

Hydroponic/greenhouse management: will train

Sanitation/barn washing (swine barns)

Located near Swinton Park, ON as well as Arthur, ON

** Part time position for sow barn only OR full time position for sow barn and greenhouse (hydroponic lettuce)**

A G-drivers license is preferred and reliable commute to work.

Looking for long term committed individuals with previous experience in sow barns.

We offer flexible hours, a small benefit package (available after 6 months), company events and training, paid vacation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
