Service Quality Lead

**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager, IM/IT Service Change, the Service Quality Lead is responsible for Problem Management and Service Quality within IM/IT. Under the direction of the Manager, the Lead leverages the IM/IT centralized change management and service coordination infrastructure to enforce quality control points within IM/IT processes and to identify and resolve problems within the supported environment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, plus four (4) years' recent related experience (such as background working in large public service organizations and experience with ITIL and CoBit), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
**Skills And Abilities**:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
