The team enables the business with actionable insights, with a focus on building departmental level dashboards and visualizations are meant for long term use to support all areas of the business operation. In this role, you would have the opportunity to work with all areas of the business, providing best practice on visualization and data story telling. You also will be working closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, Location Intelligence, and other analytics teams to partner together in delivering analytical products that empower the business. **Accountabilities**: Partner with data governance and data engineering to ensure that we have a common set of metrics and data definition across the business, with a primary focus on policy, claims and service data. Act as a consultant and leader in engaging with business analytics teams to provide best practice in visualization and data story telling Ensuring all reports in production are fully automated with built-in QA for reconciliation and monitoring and visualizations are designed with best design principles for ease of interpretation Engage with the spoke analytics teams and business leaders to ensure alignment on requirements of key foundational report builds for different departments Lead the community of practice / user group for visualization, and provide coaching / guidance and training to the member base Partnering to create a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale, stability and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions - 10% **Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, or equivalent degree in quantitative studies. 5+ years of experience in an analytics focused team setting focusing on building reports and visualizations Solid technical skills in data extraction, manipulation and aggregation using SQL or equivalent languages, with experience in report automation Proven quantitative analytical skills in providing insights from data Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills Technical Expertise on SQL, SAS, Talend, Tableau, PowerBI Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc) **Bonus qualification**: Experience working in an agile environment would be asset Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
