**Overview**
Based out of Plant 1, the Vessel Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the operation of the vessel shop floor and personnel. They will be primarily involved with fabricating pressure vessels. They will ensure smooth operation of the vessel department when vessel lead hand is not present or is unavailable. Reports directly to the Shop Foreman.

**Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Allocate and assign appropriate personnel to vessel fabrication
- Assist with ensuring smooth workflow of vessel construction
- Review project components to ensure workflow
- Stage and organize parts required for the upcoming vessel jobs in the shop
- Perform detailed final dimensional checks of completed vessels
- Fitting and Welding vessels or spools
- Project, organize, and monitor work for crews
- Assist with training and orientation of new or transferred personnel as required
- Participate in the Quality Control Program
- Advise employees of any potential or actual hazards related to the job (Everyone's job)
- Participate in the Health and Safety program
- Assist Safety as required in incident management, investigations, and inspections
- Assist with the setup of vessel workstations and material
- Use SharePoint systems and enter tickets for vessel fabrication issues

**Education, Skills and Experience**
- Journeyman B-pressure welder with minimum of 5 years' experience
- Highly experienced in Vessel fabrication
- Strong People and Employee Relations Skills
- Strong Organizational and Time Management skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to coach and mentor staff
- Delegate work effectively, quick problem solving and conflict resolution
- Competent with computer software Including Microsoft Office.

**Physical Demands**
- Requires the ability to assume and maintain various physical positions, including bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, and reaching, to perform tasks across different environments
- Requires employee to have ability to be on their feet for 10-hour shift
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must wear required PPE, including fire retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, respirator as required
